Niclas Knudsen
Born 1972 in Copenhagen.
Educated at Berklee in Boston. Played with among others, David Liebman,
Ray Anderson and Adam Nussbaum. First prize at the "GEXTO"
competition 1996, "Roland Music Prize" 1999, and in the
same year he received a Grammy.
Niclas is known for his versatility and his interest in many different
musical styles. He covers a large musical territory, including elements
from blues, rock, bebop and folk music. Niclas plays not only the
electric guitar but also guitar-related instruments like the "Weissenborn"
and the "Tres". He is very active teaching, and playing
in different bands including his own "Ibrahim Electric".
